WWE held the 16th edition of the WrestleMania Backlash at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, in which Main Event, Roman Reigns retained the WWE Universal Championship after beating Cesaro by submission with the Guillotine Choke in a Title Match. At the end of the match, Jay Uso and Seth Rollins attacked Cesaro.
Bobby Lashley retained the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match. The Almighty applied a Spear on Braun Strowman.
Bianca Belair defeated Bayley in a Title Match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Damian Priest defeated The Miz with the Hit the Lights in a Lumberjack Match.
Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship after beating The Dirty Dawgs. Before the match, Dominik was attacked in backstage by Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, so Rey was alone in the ring part of the match. The Son of Rey Mysterio applied an effective Frog Splash on Robert Roode.
Rhea Ripley got her first title defense as WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat Match. The Nightmare won by pinfall with Riptide on the Empress of Tomorrow to retain the title.
At the Kick Off, Sheamus defeated Ricochet with a Knee Strike in a Single Match.
