On July 31, 1998, CMLL held its Spectacular Friday Live Show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, in whose Main Event, Scorpio Jr. was the first luchador to win the CMLL La Leyenda de Plata Tournament after beating El Hijo del Santo in a Single Match.
