Legends of Lucha Libre’s Brazo de Plata passes away at 58

Published July 26, 2021

Lucha libre receives unfortunate news again. Jose Luis Alvarado Nieves, better known as Brazo de Plata “Super Porky”, passed away this Monday at 58 in Mexico City. So far there is not much information on the reason for the death of the legendary luchador, but the fact was confirmed by the CMLL and Lucha Libre AAA through posts on their official accounts on social networks.

Brazo de Plata was one of the greatest figures in lucha libre in recent decades, being one of the UWA‘s benchmarks at El Toreo de Cuatro Caminos in the 80s. Super Porky worked for the best companies in the world such as UWA, CMLL, Lucha Libre AAA, AJPW and NJPW. In addition, he had appearances in WWE, and even dabbled in the world of MMA. In mid-2016 he had his last presentations with the CMLL at the Arena Mexico and Arena Coliseo de Guadalajara.

In February, Brazo de Plata with Psycho Clown signed to join the roster of Masked Republic‘s Legends of Lucha Libre.
