IWRG held its traditional Sunday Show at Arena Naucalpan in Naucalpan, Estado de Mexico, in which Main Event, Diamante Azul won a title shot for the IWRG Rey del Ring Championship after eliminating Fresero Jr. in a 31-Man Elimination #1 Contendership Match. La Joya de la Lucha Libre appeared surprisingly and entered the match as the luchador number 31 when they were only 30. Diamante Azul applied a Piledriver to Demonio Infernal, he also eliminated Fresero Jr. to win the match. Following this result, Hijo de Canis Lupus will defend the IWRG Rey del Ring Championship against Diamante Azul in a Title Match.
