WWE Monday Night RAW Latino Review: Penta wins, war between Vaquer and Morgan continues, Dragon Lee beat Dirty Dom, and more

The most recent edition of WWE Monday Night RAW featured a prominent presence of Latino superstars, kicking off with a quarterfinal match in the tournament for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship opportunity. Penta and Laredo Kid delivered a match characterized by high-flying moves, chops, and high-impact strikes. After kicking out of a 450 splash and enduring his opponent’s attacks, Penta secured the victory via pinfall by executing a Mexican Destroyer.

Backstage, the rivalry within the Latino division added a new chapter following the opening match. Rey Mysterio praised Penta and Laredo Kid‘s performance before being approached by Dragon Lee, whom he congratulated for earning his place in the company. The conversation was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who confronted his father for not being included in the tournament. In response to Dominik‘s complaints, Dragon Lee stepped in to confront him and set up a one-on-one match for later that night.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Vaquer returned to programming to send a direct message to The Judgment Day and women’s champion Liv Morgan, declaring that she will pursue the women’s title. Her speech was interrupted by Becky Lynch, and the two argued over who deserves the championship opportunity. Although Liv Morgan attempted a blindside attack on Lynch, the Irish star defended herself, and Vaquer returned to the ring to confront Morgan—sending her running and leaving a tense face-off between Stephanie and Becky.

In the second match featuring Latino talent, Dragon Lee faced Dominik Mysterio in a fast-paced, high-flying contest. Dominik attempted to gain control by hitting a Michinoku Driver, a 619, and trying to finish the match with a frog splash off the top rope. However, Dragon Lee blocked the splash by getting his knees up and capitalized by connecting with his finisher, Operation: Dragon, to secure the pinfall victory.

In a backstage segment, Rey Mysterio and Penta were talking backstage when they were approached by Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable. The champion acknowledged Rey‘s work with the Lucha Libre AAA and the luchador tournament, offering to defend his title against him. Mysterio accepted the challenge, setting up a championship match between the two for an upcoming shows.
