News Blast: TV Series In Development, Video Game Announced, New Comic Series Launch – Masked Republic San Diego Comic Con Recap

Published July 30, 2024

Masked Republic was right there in the center of it all including having our first company panel during which three major topics were discussed:

Masked Republic Comics & Massive Publishing’s The Luchaverse Is Getting Developed for Television by Writer/Showrunner Adair Cole and MXN Entertainment

With the first issue of Luchaverse: Catalyst having just hit comic shops on July 17th and many shop owners reporting selling out of the copies they stocked, it was perfect timing to announce the pact at SDCC. Cole has roots in Southern California wrestling, but is best known now in Hollywood as a television writer. His latest project is writing & showrunning the tv adaptation of the MMA film Warrior for Paramount+ and news leaked recently about an “wrestling meets Dazed and Confused” pilot he has sold to a top tier cable network. MXN founder Mason Novick has a long history in film and TV. Before he formed MXN he produced films including Juno, 500 Days of Summer and Jennifer’s Body. Since forming MXN, productions have included Lisa Frankenstein, Big Time Adolescence and Nightbooks for Netflix.
