In 2022, Lucha Libre AAA will celebrate its 30th Anniversary, the celebration of which will have its momentary summit at Triplemania XXX. The road to Triplemania XXX began at Triplemania Regia, and the next great event will be Rey de Reyes, which will take place at Estadio Deportivo Veracruzano Beto Avila in Veracruz on February 19, 2022.
This will be the 25th edition of Rey de Reyes, in whose main event Hijo del Vikingo will defend the Lucha Libre AAA Megachampionship against John Hennigan in a Title Match. El Chocolate Caliente Willie Mack returns to La Caravana Estelar to team up with Legends of Lucha Libre‘s Mr. Iguana & Niño Hamburguesa to face Los Nuevos Vipers (Psicosis II, Abismo Negro Jr. & Latigo) in a Trios Match.
Actions will begin with a 3-Way Tag Mixed Team Match, in which the Lucha Libre AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions Chik Tormenta & Legends of Lucha Libre‘s Arez will La Hiedra & Villano III Jr. and Sexy Star & Octagon Jr.
