After so much rumor in the media and social networks, it is official that AEW Superstar Kenny Omega will be out for a while due to needing surgery after being injured after his Title Match against Adam Page on AEW Full Gear. Lucha Libre AAA CEO Dorian Roldan was in charge of breaking the news through his official Twitter account.

Due to this, Lucha Libre AAA declared the Megachampionship vacant, for which Kenny Omega will not face Hijo del Vikingo in Triplemania Regia. Lucha Libre AAA and AEW are in talks to find a replacement for The Cleaner.
Kenny Omega was upset by Lucha Libre AAA‘s decision to declare the title vacant, arguing that he could simply postpone the match, but promises to return to regain the belt and break his own record as the longest-reigning luchador as megachampion.
