AEW Collision Latino Review: Andrade and Persephone Retain their Titles, Thunder Rosa Returns, Komander and Bandido in Action, and More

Published September 05, 2026

Hispanic presence established itself as the central pillar of the latest episode of AEW Collision, where Latino wrestlers delivered an outstanding performance marked by championship retentions, international alliances, and intense ring clashes.

Andrade El Idolo Solidifies His Reign

In the night’s main event, Mexico‘s Andrade el Idolo successfully retained the AEW National Championship after defeating Britain‘s Gabe Kidd in a physically punishing contest. After securing the victory, Andrade addressed his contractual situation within the company: he confirmed he will hold onto his opportunity for the AEW World Championship for an opportune moment, prioritizing giving prestige and continuity to his current national title for now.

Persephone’s Dominance and Thunder Rosa’s Return

The women’s division featured stellar Latin presence led by Persephone, who defeated VertVixen to firmly remain the AEW TBS Champion.

However, the action did not end after the three-count. Persephone joined forces with Britt Baker to continue assaulting the defeated opponent, prompting the immediate arrival of Mexico‘s Thunder Rosa alongside Maya World, who entered from the locker room to make the save and clear the ring.

Bandido Adds Another Victory; Komander Falls in Aerial Duel

The match card continued with high-impact action for the rest of the Hispanic delegation:

  • Bandido: Had a dominant performance by teaming up with Brody King and Hangman Adam Page. The trios team decisively defeated the lineup composed of Braddah Kaimi, LBJ, and Vin Parker.

  • Komander: Starred in a flashy single match against Nick Wayne. Despite displaying his usual aerial repertoire, the luchador ultimately fell in defeat. The match had a chaotic ending when Chris Jericho appeared after the bell to attack Wayne with a Judas Effect.
