Persephone vs. Dani Luna: Open Challenge for the AEW TBS Championship
In an open challenge for the AEW TBS Championship, champion Persephone defended her title against a fierce Dani Luna in an authentic pitched battle. The match began with an intense technical exchange on the mat, featuring lock-ups and shoulder blocks where neither woman gave an inch. Luna surprised her opponent with a varied arsenal that included a slingshot Blue Thunder Driver and an impressive deadlift German superplex from the top ropes. Swerve Strickland & The New Level vs. “Hangman” Adam Page & Brodido: High Voltage in Trios
In one of the most chaotic and highly praised matches of the night, Bandido teamed up with Brodido (alongside Brody King and “Hangman” Adam Page) to challenge the trios champions, Shane “Swerve” Strickland and The New Level (“Awesome” Austin Creed and Kofi). The action was frantic from the very first minute with dynamic singles exchanges. Bandido demonstrated his characteristic agility with his traditional finger gun poses, spectacular suicide dives like his Orihara Moonsault off the ringpost, and lethal aerial combinations. The match quickly escalated into a no-holds-barred war outside the ring with punishment over the barricades, massive suicide dives, and demolishing towers of German suplexes executed by Brodido on the titleholders. In the final stretch, following an endless series of finishing moves and cross-interferences where all participants were exhausted on the canvas, Shane Strickland managed to connect his fearsome Big Pressure on Bandido to extinguish the challengers’ aspirations. Shane “Swerve” Strickland and The New Level retain the AEW World Trios Championship.
