Attendance Records, the Power of the Amazonas, and Main Preparations Leading up to Lucha Kingdom

The Arena Mexico is experiencing a golden era. During the broadcast of the official news show CMLL Informa (Episode 646), the company led by the Lutteroth family consolidated a schedule full of news ranging from the social and sports impact of women in lucha libre, to historic attendance milestones and world-class cards.

“Mujeres en la Lucha 4”: Empowerment and Full House

Kicking off the month of October—officially consecrated as the Month of the Amazonas—Tatiana Classing visited the show to give details on the fourth edition of Mujeres en la Lucha, titled “Muchas morras, mucho punch”.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 10 at Arena México, exceeded all expectations by selling out its free registrations (expecting to welcome 3,000 attendees). It will feature keynote lectures, defense and character-creation workshops, and a main combat sports panel featuring exponents of mixed martial arts, boxing, karate, and a CMLL Amazona. For fans who missed out on registration, social media contests were announced to win exclusive double passes.

One Million Reasons to Celebrate

For the second consecutive year, Arena México broke historic barriers by surpassing the figure of one million fans so far in 2026. The lucky fan, Miguel Menchaca, was honored in the center of the ring with a commemorative championship. This milestone is complemented by the arrival of fresh blood from Guadalajara and Puebla (such as Lady Metal, Tesca, Nexi, Astoret, Náutica, and Écate), who are looking to earn a definitive spot in the stellar ranks of the Amazonas.

The Aftermath of “Noche de Campeones” and the Universal Championship

The recent champions crowned by fan vote—Rey Pegasus (Middleweight), Vegas Depredador (Light Heavyweight), and the brand-new Mexican National Women’s Tag Team Champions, Hera and Olympia—shared their thoughts after achieving glory. Vegas warned that he is going after the company’s best, while Olympia confirmed her participation in the upcoming Amazonas Grand Prix 2026.

Likewise, the first elimination phase for the coveted CMLL Universal Women’s Championship was unveiled. This Friday, it will pit the most dangerous rudas (heels) of the company exclusively against each other (such as Reina Isis, Princesa Sugehit, Sanely, Silueta, Zeuxis, Keira, Candela, and the champions themselves), promising authentic sparks on the canvas.

The Return of the “Galeón Fantasma” and the Alliance with New Japan

The heel note is led by the official return of Zandokan Jr. after a five-month absence due to injury. Alongside Furia Roja, Difunto, and Sando Junior, the Galeon Fantasma reported ready to sow chaos this weekend against La Fuerza Tapatía and Esfinge, in addition to a high-powered duel next Tuesday against the Sky Team and allies.

On the international front, more key pieces for the CMLL International Women’s Grand Prix 2026 (October 23) were revealed, highlighting the arrival of Taylor Rising (MLP), Mei Seira (World Wonder Ring Stardom) and Momo Watanabe (World Wonder Ring Stardom), alongside home faces Zeuxis, Olympia, and India Sioux.

Finally, the “Rey de Plata y Oro,” Místico, reappeared after his successful tour of Japan where he successfully defended the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship alongside El Desperado. The high point of the program was the official announcement of the major event Lucha Kingdom for next Monday, November 16 at Arena Mexico, where Místico directly challenged his own tag team partner, El Desperado, to a stellar singles match with the firm proposal of putting the world titles on the line.
