The wildest fiesta of the year is back and ready to turn up the heat. Drinko de Mayo, the outrageous spectacle from Lucha VaVoom de La Liz (LVVDLL), makes its highly anticipated return on Saturday, May 30th to its new home venue, the Fox Theater Pomona (301 S. Garey Ave), a beautifully restored Art Deco landmark and one of Southern California’s premier entertainment venues. The legendary live show blends lucha libre–style wrestling with award-winning international burlesque goddesses, death-defying aerialists, jaw-dropping contortionists, comedy legends, live music, and classic lowriders.

In July 2025, LVVDLL’s home venue of 23 years, The Mayan Theater, announced it would be closing its doors. LVVDLL honored the iconic venue with one last blowout celebration, a completely sold-out summer spectacular show on August 22nd. Last September, LVVDLL’s owner and producer Liz Fairbairn announced their new partnership with the Fox Theater Pomona, as the show’s new home venue, followed by sold-out events celebrating Día de los Muertos (11/8/25) and Valentine’s Day (2/14/26).

The wrestling lineup for the upcoming Drinko de Mayo show features a powerhouse roster of superstar fighters, including the celebrated and formidable Misterioso Jr., the explosive Mariachi Loco, Destiny, Mexican luchador Dinámico, and the terrifying Valioso. They’ll be joined by El Hijo de Rey Misterio, Extreme Tiger, Mascarita Sagrada, Mini Abismo Negro, and Sexy Mexis, along with fan favorites Paquita VaVoom, Los Crazy Chickens, Los Chupacabras, and the infamous Dirty Sanchez—the scatological master of lucha libre, notorious for his underhanded tricks and signature move, “A Taste of the Awful!”

The show’s confirmed lineup of breathtaking burlesque dancers, high-flying aerialists, and world-class performers includes award-winning burlesque star Minxie Mimieux, also known as The Burlesque Queen of Texas. A seductive tease with vintage glam and a devilish wink, Mimieux is also an accomplished producer and model who spearheaded the revival of Dallas’ legendary Carousel Club Burlesque. Joining her are aerial, pole, and fire duo Kelsie Koziol and Brynn Route; César Vizcaino, an aerialist from Tijuana’s acclaimed dance and aerial school Cinesis, and making her LVVDLL debut, Devyn LaBella—a SAG-AFTRA stunt performer and Cirque du Soleil aerialist—set to deliver jaw-dropping elegance, fearless drops, and silky moves that will leave audiences breathless.

Delivering insanely off-the-cuff commentary with hilarious digs, barbs, and jabs will be long-time comedian MC Blaine Capatch, joined by a celebrity co-host to be announced. Returning as ring announcer extraordinaire is international screen star and heartthrob Ignacio Serricchio, along with celebrated referees Joyce and Sergio “Platanito” Garcia.

Set to kick off the night will be a live performance by Spaghetti Cumbia, Los Angeles‘ own high-octane Western Cumbia Rock outfit, who has been captivating fans with their signature blend of traditional cumbia rhythms, rock, punk, and Western movie soundtrack influences since their formation in 2016. Founded by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Pedro Aguirre, the five-piece band has honed their craft over the years, solidifying their lineup with the additions of co-frontman and percussionist Marcel Campos, lead guitarist Roberto Guerrero, bassist Paulo Paredones, and drummer Adolfo Mercado Jr.

LVVDLL just announced a special collaboration with La Bulla, the beloved annual Los Angeles festival honoring lucha libre culture through live wrestling, art, music, fashion, and food. La Bulla’s sold-out 10th anniversary event takes place on May 16th at Superchief Gallery LA, featuring a large-scale exhibition curated by Antonio Pelayo with more than 200 artists paying tribute to the legendary luchador El Santo. Extending the celebration beyond the weekend, 20 artists from this year’s La Bulla festival will showcase their work for one night only at The Fox during LVVDLL’s Drinko de Mayo, merging the spirit of both experiences into an immersive evening that captures the energy of Los Angeles’ creative community. In addition, LVVDLL is bringing L.A.’s vibrant car culture to The Fox with the inclusion of Rumblers Car Club Los Angeles in the event.
