We’ve done it sports fans! Lucha Central’s Lucha Madness fantasy tournament, presented by Expo Lucha 2019 and Quiet Wyatt Designs, has officially concluded the Elite Eight and tonight will begin the Final Four stage. We’d like to thank each and every one of you who has participated in this and hope you join us in determining which of the four luchadores remaining will make it to the Final Four.

First though, why don’t we tell you who did make it! Here are your Lucha Madness Final Four participants.

El Santo Region Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas

It shouldn’t be a long shot for a number three seed to make it thus far, but the former La Sombra had the daunting task of besting Pentagon and Fenix back to back. He and his fans did just that.

Blue Demon Region Winner: Dragón Lee

Dragón Lee has arguably been the most dominant luchador in this tournament, defeating each opponent he faced with 73% or higher of the votes. Now we’ll see if he can best Almas and make himself 2-0 against Los Ingobernables members, after defeating Rush in the Sweet 16.

Salvador Lutteroth Region Winner: Último Guerrero

Yet another surprise winner, as I’m sure everyone and their brother was expecting Rey Mysterio Jr. to make it this far. Instead CMLL’s top rudo, much like he did against his pupil Bandido in the Sweet 16, stayed alive and eventually broke ahead of Mysterio with a late surge in voting. This isn’t a surprise when it comes to seeding, but in terms of who he had to beat only UG’s former opponent Almas overcame tougher opponents.

Antonio Peña Region Winner: El Hijo del Fantasma

The hottest free agent in lucha libre was always going to do well in this tournament due to being in the news, but has exceeded expectations due to a fan base that is willing and ready to vote for Fantasma every step of the way. It helped him avenge his Triplemania defeat to LA Park in the Sweet 16 and then easily topple Volador in the Elite Eight.

There is your Final Four sports fans. Not a single one seed will be competing in it, although we did see two #2 seeds make it. The match ups for this stage are as follows;

Andrade “Cien” Almas (Santo Region) vs. Dragón Lee (Blue Demon Region)

Último Guerrero (Lutteroth Region) vs. El Hijo del Fantasma (Peña Region)

Voting will begin on these match ups tonight at around 10:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. We hope to see you then. There’s still a little madness left to be had!
