The second week of the AAA/CMLL ratings battle is once again in favor of AAA. Lucha Central has learned that AAA’s Friday show on Azteca 7 drew a 2.5 rating with 3.9 million viewers overall and 10% share, while the Sunday replay on A+ drew a 0.6 rating with 1.2 million viewers. Overall AAA drew 5.1, million viewers total between both broadcasts (only a slight decrease from last) while also increasing their ratings, continuing their fast start since arriving onto TV Azteca networks.

The news wasn’t quite as good for CMLL. Saturday’s airing on Gala TV, which broadcast  parts of Friday nights Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event, drew only a 0.6 rating, with 1.3 million viewers with a 5% share. While the viewers stayed level with last week, the rating for CMLL was down .6 from last week’s 1.2 rating, an alarming number considering Homenaje a Dos Leyendas is CMLL’s second biggest show of the year. The broadcast was also slightly above the AAA replay for the second straight week, another alarming sign.
