Tonight’s CMLL Tuesday show looked slightly better than usual. And I guess compared to most Tuesday’s it was…it just also happened to be very middle of the road as well. That’s fine when the rest of the shows are mediocre, but not so fine when you’re wanting more. Then again it’s CMLL; who wants or expects more from them these days? If you missed this show, here’s what happened.

Astro & Eléctrico defeated Inquisidor & Yago two falls to one.

Cancerbero, Espanto Jr., Raziel defeated Arkalis, Halcón Suriano Jr., Oro Jr. two falls to one after Cancerbero submitted Arkalis with a Scorpion Cross Lock and Raziel submitted Oro Jr. with an excellent cradle style submission. A solid match; I was desperately hoping for fewer restrictions and the rudos winning was stupid but overall I thought the effort was okay, the mistakes were minimal and there were some nice moments from Halcón Suriano, Oro Jr. and Raziel (especially on that submission). Better than expected, though I would’ve done a few things differently.

Audaz, Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa defeated Nitro, Templario, Virus two falls to none after Templario fouled Cometa for the DQ. I’m all for this leading to a Cometa-Templario match but that didn’t appear to be something imminent after the match. The DQ left this as a very okay match; there was some good stuff in the time they got from Cometa-Templario (including a nasty Cometa Standing Spanish Fly where Templario practically landed on his head) and Audaz was his usual stuff. Just wasn’t quite enough to make it good.

Titán defeated Flyer in a Lightning Match at the 8:54 mark. The finish came after Titán rolled up Flyer in his awesome leg submission/pin combo. This was really good! Flyer recovered strongly from his iffy performance on Friday, looking completely comfortable with Flyer. They didn’t do anything outrageous, but the work was really well done, the bumping/selling was really good and Titán r was as good as ever shepherding the action. Really good stuff.

Atlantis, Soberano Jr., Stuka Jr. defeated Ephesto, Hechicero, Mephisto two falls to one after Atlantis pinned Mephisto with a hurricanrana. All sorts of solid and all sorts of unspectacular here sports fans. All six guys gave a respectable effort and Soberano, Stuka and Hechicero had some good moments, but in the end there just wasn’t enough meat on the bone to make this a good match. In other words, it was the usual Tuesday night semi-main.

Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. defeated Cuatrero, Euforia, Sansón two falls to one after Volador pinned Euforia with a Super Hurricanrana. Basically the semi-main event with a few more cool things added. The effort was respectable, Euforia mixed well with the Dinamitas and there wasn’t anything wrong with the match; there’s just been better bouts for these two teams. Solid and unspectacular, just like this show.
