Another Tuesday in the books and what do you know; another CMLL Tuesday show that was better than CMLL’s Puebla show. It’s a miracle! Another miracle; me watching the 5 hour and 17 minute cut of Novecento today and it not feeling as long as this (admittedly better than usual) Tuesday show. Telling isn’t it? If for some reason you’re still curious about this show after that ringing endorsement, here’s what happened.

El Coyote & Metálico defeated Retro & Sangre Imperial two falls to one after Coyote and Metálico submitted Retro and Imperial at the same time. This match went exactly as you’d expect, with the one exception being Coyote not crying for help. Boring as hell opener.

Dalys, Seductora, Tiffany defeated Avispa Dorada, La Guerrera, Princesa Sugehit two falls to one after Dalys pinned Dorada after a Spiral Bomb and Tiffany submitted Guerrera. Another boring match outside of a decent fall one sequence between Dalys and Dorada, who then had nothing to do the rest of the match. That was better than La Guerrera, who I forgot was in the match till fall three.

Drone, Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa defeated Kawato San, Okumura, Virus two falls to one after Drone pinned Virus with the Bala Knees and Maya pinned Kawato after Sacrificio Maya. Good match! With a great effort it could’ve been even better, but these guys did enough to make this an entertaining watch. All three technicos were really good.

Misterioso Jr. defeated Black Panther in a Lightning Match. The finish came at the 7:29 mark after Misterioso pinned Panther following a Gory Bomb. Decent match. Black Panther had a strong performance, hitting several really nice suicide dives and cutting a good pace. Unfortunately he got the regular Misterioso, who didn’t try hard and only hit two moves all match it seemed, including his finisher. Between last week and this week, Black Panther deserves better.

Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto defeated Esfinge, Titán, Tritón two falls to one after the rudos pinned all the technicos following Mephisto doing a top rope Devil’s Wings on Titán where Titán landed on Esfinge and Tritón! Another good match with a great triple dive by the technicos in fall three. Highlight of the match was Titán wrestling the entire match with a Santa hat that never came off. That’s talent. CMLL teased Mephisto vs. Titán again, but the rudos winning seems to indicate that won’t be happening again.

Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, Niebla Roja defeated Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón two falls to one after Oro and Roja submitted Cuatrero and Forastero. The usual kind of Tuesday show match. Oro and Roja tried hard and tried out some variations to a double dive sequence, so it looks like they’re using Tuesday as a testing ground. The Dinamitas didn’t do as much, but they did a great job making all three technicos look good, including Atlantis. The fact that he was doing Monkey Flips and Backbreakers shows there’s a comfort level Atlantis has here that he doesn’t with others.
