Tonight’s CMLL Puebla show only went 97 minutes! That has to be a record. Of course the show was so dull that it felt like it went 197 minute but hey…I don’t know what my point was. If you missed this short slog, here’s what occurred.
Espíritu Maligno, Joker, Mercurio defeated Astro, Asturiano, Último Dragóncito two falls to one after Joker pinned Astro and Mercurio pinned Dragóncito after reversing a hurricanrana roll up into a roll up of his own.
El Perverso, Hijo del Signo, Toro Bill Jr. defeated Arkalis, Halcón Suriano Jr., King Jaguar two falls to one after Toro Bill pinned Arkalis with a Backcracker. King Jaguar appeared to get hurt towards the end after he got caught on the ropes trying to go over them. Hopefully he’s okay. The match had little else to it besides that and Halcón Suriano being really good.
Kráneo, Stigma, Volcano defeated Hechicero, Misterioso Jr., Templario two falls to one after Kráneo pinned all three rudos after hitting them all with a splash. There was one cool spot in this match where Stigma climbed up to Volcano’s shoulders, got carried around the ring and then splashed all three rudos from off Volcano’s shoulders. The rest of the match blew chunks.
Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero defeated Máscara Año 2000, Rey Bucanero, Terrible two falls to one after Terrible fouled the UG for the DQ. In a shocking development, not a whole lot happened in this one. That may have been a good thing because it meant less UG-MA2K stuff! Sadly we’ll be getting more of it next week as the finish seemed to set up a trios rematch.
Carístico defeated Mr. Niebla two falls to one after Carístico submitted Niebla with La Mistica. The best match on the show…which is not saying much. Niebla was at times entertaining and Carístico had a few moments, but this was otherwise very short and very unspectacular. That is bested many matches in similar spots shows you how bad these matches usually are in Puebla.
