Tonight’s CMLL Puebla show sucked. Next week’s show will suck just as bad. What else is new? If you missed all the sucking (PHRASING!) here’s what occurred.
Arkalis, King Jaguar, Robin defeated El Perverso, King Rocker Jr., Mini Joker two falls to one after Robin pinned Perverso with a Tiger Bomb. Mediocre match outside of a cool Arkalis sequence. King Jaguar as a technico continues to be dumb.
Amapola & La Comandante defeated Avispa Dorada & Princesa Sugehit two falls to one with dueling submissions. Another mediocre match. Good to see Avispa Dorada again though; too bad she wasn’t allowed to be awesome.
Ángel de Oro, Flyer, Niebla Roja defeated Felino, Rey Bucanero, Shocker two falls to one after Flyer rolled up Shocker with La Casita. This match was, you guessed it, MEDIOCRE!
Carístico, Mistico, Soberano Jr. defeated Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto two falls to one after Mephisto unmasked Mistico for the DQ. I guess they’re setting up Mistico vs. Mephisto at some point, though Carístico issuing a challenge after the match seemed to indicate a trios bout for next week instead of a singes. If only it had been this week instead of UG-Vangellys! Yet another snoozer of a match, with the technicos getting little time to do anything and Los Hijos del Infierno continuing their cruise control ways.
Vangellys defeated Último Guerrero two falls to one after Vangellys pinned the UG with a Spear. Yes, this actually happened. What a world. Match was easily the best match on the show, which tells you all you need to know about the rest of the show. It looks like the victory sets up Vangellys for a rematch against Guerrero next week with the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship on the line, so you can look forward to that.
