You know what; tonight’s CMLL Puebla show was a bit better than usual this week! Sure it still sucked for the most part, but it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been and that says a lot about how good some of the performances (and that third match) were. If you missed it, here’s what occurred.

Astro, Meyer, Sonic defeated Guerrero Especial, King Rocker, Sombra Diabólika two falls to one after Meyer submitted Diabólika and Sonic pinned Especial after a Swanton Bomb. Maybe it’s because I was reading 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die while watching this match but I didn’t hate it! It was no classic but it overall did its job, with Astro and Sonic looking good. If only CMLL would use them outside of Puebla!

Espanto Jr., Fuerza Chicana, Policeman defeated Arkalis, Millenium, Tigre Rojo Jr. two falls to one after Espanto pinned Millenium after a Lung Blower.

Stigma, Titán, Tritón defeated Kawato San, Okumura, Tiger two falls to one after Titán submitted Tiger and Stigma pinned Kawato following a Falcon Arrow. That’s right; STIGMA DID THE DEAL! An honest to Grodd good Puebla match for the most part. Tritón was tremendous in this match, doing most of his best stuff and capping it off with a nice moonsault. Everyone else was solid to good and Stigma has my respect for DOING THE DEAL! Excalibur should invite him to PWG pronto.

Cavernario, El Felino, Rey Bucanero defeated Atlantis, Soberano Jr., Valiente two falls to one after the rudos submitted all three technicos at the same time. TRIPLE SUBMISSION! That and Soberano looking decent were the only positives of an otherwise dull match.

Diamante Azul & Volador Jr. defeated Rush & Terrible two falls to one after Volador faked a foul to get Terrible DQ’d. That comical finish was the most entertaining part of an otherwise quick, unmemorable match. Terrible looked to be challenging Volador afterwards, so perhaps we’ll get a match between the two next week.
