CMLL Puebla is in the books and my Grodd I am already longing for the days of LA Park in this building. Yes I know he’s only been gone for two weeks. That’s two weeks too long dammit! Anyways, if you missed tonight’s show (which was the definition of fine), here’s what happened.

Arkalis, Rey Samuray, Tigre Rojo Jr. defeated King Jaguar, King Rocker, Toro Bill Jr. two falls to one after Arkalis and Rojo pinned Jaguar and Rocker with running Swanton Bombs from the ramp. Unique! Fine little match, better than the usual Puebla opener thanks to the technicos and King Rocker. Arkalis, Samuray and Rojo all had good nights and Samuray and Rocker showed some great chemistry together.

Amapola, Dalys, Tiffany defeated Avispa Dorada, Lluvia, Marcela two falls to one after Dalys pinned Dorada and Amapola pinned Lluvia with a Spiral Bomb and Angel’s Wings respectively. Dorada was in for Sanely. Forgettable match aside from Dorada, who continues to impress in on her third appearance. Marcela did try to get something out of Tiffany, forgetting that Tiffany is, well, Tiffany.

Kawato San, Okumura, Templario defeated Audaz, Stigma, Tritón two falls to one after Templario pinned Audaz following a Powerbomb Lungblower. A good match for Arena Puebla, though it would’ve been low end good on a Friday show. Everyone was trying though, with Audaz and Templario once again impressing and Tritón having his best night in awhile. Kawato caught a dive! That is all.

Ángel de Oro, Diamante Azul, Niebla Roja defeated Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto two falls to one after Mephisto pulled off Azul’s mask for a DQ. The result was originally the other way with Mephisto pinning Azul, but the ref caught Mephisto with Azul’s mask immediately after and changed the result. ONLY IN CMLL! Match was forgettable, with a lot of the focus on Azul and Mephisto. It looked like they were setting up a match between the two next week but instead set up a trios rematch. Joy.

Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero defeated Carístico, David Finaly, Mistico two falls to one after the UG pinned Mistico following a Top Rope Gordbuster. This was your typical Puebla main event. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the prime effort you’d get on a bigger show. The Guerreros looked the best of the two teams. I’m still not sure why David Finlay is here.
