Ever since this past Monday’s Being the Elite episode, speculation has been running rampant that The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, would be joining fellow All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes at AAA’s Rey de Reyes event this weekend. We may now have proof that that is in fact the case. Just a few minutes ago, a photo was posted on Twitter of the Young Bucks posing with a fan at what appears to be the Mexico City airport, indicating that the Bucks have indeed arrived in Mexico for AAA’s big show.
What the Bucks will be doing on tomorrow’s show is still unclear. With the brothers booked against Fenix and Pentagon Jr. for AEW’s Double or Nothing in May and the Bucks hunting down the Lucha Brothers ever since the match was made, the most logical conclusion is that the Bucks will get involved in the Pentagon and Fenix’s main event match, where they challenge Rey Escorpion and Texano Jr. for the AAA World Tag Team Championships. The Bucks did however suggest in Monday’s Being the Elite that they would likely be wrestling again for the first time since Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January, and AAA’s willingness to change around their cards makes it possible the Tag Team Championship match becomes a three way. Either way, this will do little to calm the excitement of what many (including myself) believe will be a great show.
AAA’s Rey de Reyes will air tomorrow night at 10 p.m. EST on Twitch; both English and Spanish commentary will be available. Whether the Young Bucks show or not, Lucha Central will be providing live coverage of this event.
