It appears AAA’s biggest star will finally be taking advantage of the promotion’s relationship with Impact Wrestling. The ace of AAA and headliner of the last three Triplemania’s, Psycho Clown, has announced on Twitter that he will be making his Impact debut this weekend as the promotion holds a few days of tapings in Mexico City.

This is, unbelievably, a first for Psycho. The 33 year old second generation luchador (the son of legend Brazo de Plata, aka Super Porky, and the son-in-law of legend Negro Casas) has become AAA’s most reliable star over the past five years and is arguably the biggest star in lucha libre today. Despite all of that he has never gotten a shot with a US promotion; in fact his only two recent US appearances of note were last year, when he wrestled Dr. Wagner Jr. in New York City and took part in AAA’s Expo Lucha show in Las Vegas. While these tapings will be held in Mexico, it will at least get Psycho onto a televised US promotion for the first time and it wouldn’t be surprising if he gets extra attention from these appearances. While Psycho is definitely more known for his star power, he is an underrated worker who has come through best in big situations, and is coming off an outstanding 2018 where he, along with AAA, seemed to raise his game.

You can see Psycho Clown perform on Impact Wrestling either on their Twitch channel this weekend or on the Pursuit Channel in the coming weeks.
