As reported earlier today by Sports Illustrated, Court Bauer’s Major League Wrestling promotion has landed a national TV deal on the beIn Sports Network.  Known primarily for broadcasting soccer and other sports in both English and Spanish, the network is available on both Dish and DirecTV along with additional cable homes reaching 50 Million households in the U.S.

The show will begin weekly on Friday April 20, at 8 p.m. ET, with a replay airing at 11 p.m. ET.  The show will be part of beIN Sports’ “Friday Night Fury” fight block.

But, perhaps the most interesting part of the announcement was not that MLW, a product that now counts more than half a dozen former WWE creative executives and producers as part of their behind the scenes staff and features former WWF and WCW announcer Tony Schiavone, scored national TV.  What we, at Lucha Central, found most interesting was that Bauer has made a deal with Lucha Underground and AAA Lucha Libre officials to include Penta Zero M (listed for the next taping by his original AAA name of Pentagon Jr.) and Rey Fenix as regular roster members.

As many are aware, while Penta and Fenix have remained part of the Lucha Underground roster, they have not been part of the Lucha Underground talent working for Impact Wrestling.  This has been rumored to be due to the manner in which Penta and Fenix left AAA for The Crash and essentially being blocked from going to Impact by AAA, co-owners of Lucha Underground.  It would appear that Bauer, who was working closely with both AAA and Impact Wrestling at one point, has managed to successfully negotiate for their addition to his roster.

We’ll have more on this story as it develops!
