After months of speculation, teases, Elite wrestlers appearing on AAA shows and one hilariously fake super card, Lucha Libre AAA and Lucha Libre Elite officially announced at press conference today a co-branded show between the two for July 21st in Mexico City. Sponsored by World of Warcraft, the show will feature AAA vs. Elite matches with a WOW twist, with AAA representing The Order and Elite representing The Alliance. Fans at the show will be encouraged to wear the respective colors for each promotion, with AAA wearing red and Elite wearing blue.

But you’re not concerned about that; you want to know what matches will be on the card! Fortunately AAA and Elite released that as the press conference was going on and it looks to be a doozy. The main event will feature the AAA team of Dr. Wagner Jr., El Hijo del Fantasma and Psycho Clown taking on LA Park (yes, THAT LA Park), Mr. Electro and a Luchador Sorpresa. Because even on the AAA vs. Elite show there must be at least one! There’s a lot going on in this one; not counting his appearance at the Triplemania press conference this will be LA Park’s first match for AAA since April of 2013 and will see him face two of the men he will be headlining Triplemania against (Fantasma and Psycho Clown) and his long time rival Wagner. It will also be Mr. Electro’s first AAA appearance since February of 2016, back when the former AAA star was known as Electroshock. There is no word on who Park and Electro’s partner will be; at the press conference Dorian Roldan denied Rush would be the third man and speculation is sure to pop up (due to the other three participants of the Triplemania even being involved) that Pentagon Jr. may be involved, despite no connections to Elite.

The madness doesn’t end there though. The semi-main event will see Joe Lider and Pagano take on the returning Hart Foundation 2.0 (Jack Evans and Teddy Hart) in what should be a bat shit insane match, while Elite duo Golden Magic and Laredo Kid take on the AAA Tag Team Champions Rey Escorpion and Texano in the match below. With his father booked Hijo de LA Park was expected to appear and he will, teaming with Taurus to face Aerostar and yet another Luchador Sorpresa. In what might be the most intriguing match they have all year, La Mascara and Maximo take on Los Traumus (Trauma I and Trauma II), two excellent luchadores most well known for their appearances in IWRG. Finally the show opens with AAA trio Faby Apache, La Hiedra and newcomer Vanilla taking on what might be the greatest luchadoras trio of all time in Keyra, Lady Maravilla and Zeuxis, marking the Puerto Rican Power’s first appearance in AAA since departing CMLL a month ago.

As already stated, AAA vs. Elite will be held on July 21st from Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City, with a scheduled start time of 8:30 p.m. EST. It is expected, though not confirmed, that the show will air live on Twitch. Lucha Central will continue to provide updates for the show as we get closer to the date.
